my fashion show: by gray

Tonight mom said she was cleaning out her closet and giving us something called a fashion show. I do pretty much love when she gives us things except medicine so I asked "What is a fashion show?" She told me she was going to show us different outfits.
Okay.
So she did and I told her she was bbeeeaaauuuutiful every time. Then I said, "MOM I have a great idea. Let ME do a fashion show!"  And she said "Of course!"
First I was a doctor.
Then a construction guy.
Then Batman!
Mom tried on my funny goggles and showed me how to take a picture with the iPad.

See how mom's funny glasses have a curved part behind the ear?
And her hair is long.
Jack wanted to play with us, too. He likes to do everything I do.
Mom says he is a cheeky boy.
You just push this button righhhttt here.

I took a bunch of pictures in a row, so I got some great ones of myself as a masked pirate.

Can't wait until the next one!

your eye was fine

Overheard downstairs from Grayson upstairs after we put you little misters/monsters to bed tonight:

"Daddy, what are toenails for?"

< long pause >

"Can I have another zurbert and a rice krispie treat?"

 < long pause >

"I need a Band-Aid."

< short pause >

"For my eye."

For the record... he told you they were for climbing trees and I don't know if he came through on the zurbert, but I do know we have not had any rice krispie treats in the house for a while, and I do know your eye was fine.

And for more of the record. Jack's post-being-tucked in...
1: needed to poop - he just peed though.
2: needed some water
3: was too hot
4: needed to poop - fo' realz this time.
5: needed to pee again.

And then after a really long quiet time which had us thinking maybe you'd finally gotten the idea that it was bedtime, you both demanded he come say some spontaneous prayers with you, which he would never refuse and you probably knew.

Grayson prayed it would be tomorrow already so he could play with a new toy, and thanked God for all of the good things in the world. And flowers.
(Jack said pretty much the same things as Grayson.)

Good. Night!
