1) wake up, watch veggie tales
2) jack asks if he has pooped in his pants. mom and dad discuss who will be responsible. at length. mom finally looks. CLEAAARRRR.

4) get dressed in snowsuits (a new one for jack!) and snow boots (new ones for gray!) and prepare to go to Wintergreen. argue over who gets gloves and who gets mittens.
- G: "I love Wintergreen!"
- J: "Yeah, I love leather jeans!!"
5) jack eats almost all of his snacks in the car, before we actually get there. grayson talks. nonstop.
- mostly about who at school gave him which valentine.
6) go to a real estate open house.
- learn what an open house is.
- ask why the agent doesn't just buy it himself.
- meet mr. taylor ("Like Mr. Taylor our neighbor! And Taylor Swift.") and miss shelley
- gray does not speak. jack tells them his middle name is "four"
- eat their snacks.
7) spend a magic, snow-filled hour at Discovery Ridge

8) eat s'mores for lunch!!!
- roast marshmallows (mostly daddy, a little bit mom, and both under the direction of gray) around a fire pit
- watch skiers and snowboarders and snow tubers
9) get in the car to make the drive home for a nap
- G: "This is the best day of my life."
- eat yogurt, grapes and bagel
- daddy chokes on spicy venison jerky
- jack tries to fall asleep. mom keeps him awake with stories about squirrels named "mickey" - "Mickey the Squirrel. Not Mickey the Mouse."
- gray spills half a bottle of water
10) nap while mom shows people houses
- peacefulness. approx. 1 1/2 hours
11) help daddy gather firewood
- put snowsuit on first
- gray decides to stay inside "where it's warm"
12) help daddy make mom wonderful surprise valentines
- gray cuts out a beautiful heart
13) go on a treasure hunt! with clues and real treasure at the end.
- seaweed snack and new neckties for gray and seaweed snack and an extra pair of snow pants for jack
- beer for dad
14) grayson cuts his own hair, for the first time, while mom is making dinner and daddy is putting wood in the woodstove, and marches in the kitchen to ask, "Hey mom, do I look like I got a haircut?"
- but leaned over trash can in his room to do it "so the hair didn't go all over the floor"
- mom experiences really mixed emotions of horror and pride.
- parents discuss that a professional haircut will happen on monday
15) eat pesto sausages and veggies for dinner with french macarons for dessert
- your favorites, out of all the fancy flavors, are vanilla and chocolate
16) watch "the little rascals save the day" from inside a tent in the living room
- eat yogurt
- jack sits in mom's lap for a long time. mom pretends in her head that he is still a baby and nuzzles him excessively.
- attempt to get mom to make popcorn - J: "Did you want to make us some popcorn? No? Ok."
17) go to bed in special places because mommy is too worried about the wind to let you sleep upstairs.
- jack in mama and daddy's bed with mom
- gray in the living room on the pull-out couch with daddy. gray talks until after daddy is asleep.
