summer things

One of Grayson's favorite words right now is "awesome."
That is a good word for the kind of summer you are having already!

First, we moved.  That was a big deal.  You loved our old house, but you also love our new house!  There is a little more room to play and run around, too.

You got to eat fresh cucumbers from our friend
Sarah's parents' garden while Mommy unpacked!

You get to eat breakfast at the counter in the kitchen.

Mmmm. Puffins. Your favorite.

Also, you got some haircuts for which you could have wiggled around a little less, and then, your yearly check-up!

Daddy found a Field & Stream to read.

Next time maybe you will sit more still.
The check-ups were good though!

Mommy found some cool things when unpacking and you played with her old Lite Brite for hours.

Finally, Grayson discovered the wonders of a wall phone and calling his favorite people.  By now you've memorized some phone numbers, too!  Mommy thinks this is neat, because she remembers the first number she memorized was Oma's too.
A new expression you use sometimes is "exceeding the time allowed."

It's hard to make a phone call in this house with everyone bugging you, though!

sleepy pete

Pete just loves to sleep in your beds!
His favorite is Grayson's, maybe because he can see the door better from there and know if someone is coming to kick him out.
While we think it is very cute, Pete doesn't get a bath every day like you boys, and sometimes he is extra stinky or has a tick on him that we didn't find yet.  So we try to say, "No sir, Pete!  You have your own bed!" (Three of them, in fact!)  But first, we take a picture.

After we made him get down.  Probably when we left the
room again, he got back in your bed.

No Pete here, just a Care Bear.

Jack!  You turned into a dog!
